Security Officers are accountable for a wide range of tasks when they are on patrol.  USI officers are trained to not only observe/identify abnormal conditions but to report so that the problem can be solved. On a late Friday afternoon patrol security officer, Joe Rivera-Ortiz, discovered a leaking soda machine and reported it right away. The leak was active and could have gone on until morning or even later as we were entering a weekend. This impending leak would have caused damage to the floor, walls, and machinery in the area. The following Monday, the food services manager made a point of stopping by Ken Spears office to congratulate the officer on a job well done.  Joe embodies the attitude and work ethic we strive for at MathWorks and at USI.

USI Management and MathWorks would like to say thank you for your dedication!
